St. Rita had an interesting live that gives us great examples of patience, obedience, prayerfulness, and dedication. After hoping to become a nun throughout her childhood, she submitted to her parents' desire for her marriage, and endured a trying marriage for almost two decades, before her husband was killed. She prayed constantly for her husband and vengeful sons, and on his deathbed, her husband asked forgiveness for all his wrongdoings.
After her marriage ended due to her husband's death, she entered religious live and continued her life of hard work and fervent prayer. More on St. Rita from Catholic Online »
