St. Peregrine
I iz survivor!
Saint Peregrine, a priest of the Servite order who lived in the thirteenth century in Italy, is widely known as both a great confessor (he spent many an hour in the confessional) and the patron saint of cancer survivors (he himself was cured of cancer after a vision of Christ touching him).
He most definitely led many to Christ, and is shown here displaying the crucifix, a representation of Jesus' most merciful and loving act, to all those who are in pain and in need of help. More on Saint Peregrine from Catholic.org. Also, a novena to Saint Peregrine (especially helpful to those with cancer, aids, or many other potentially deadly ailments) is available from EWTN.
