Better not make St. Justin Martyr angry. You will only be outclassed by one of the greatest defenders of Christianity. Born to a pagan family, St. Justin lived the first thirty years of his life searching for truth but with little success.

One day, he encountered an old man in one of his retreats. The elder showed St. Justin the real deal, pointed him towards the prophets of old and their testimonies about God, and concluded by saying to him, "As for thyself, above all things, pray that the gates of life may be opened unto thee: for these are not things to be discerned, unless God and Christ grant to a man the knowledge of them."

St. Justin soon converted to Christianity and became the first great apologist for Christianity. He was beheaded in the year 165 with fellow martyrs. His feast day falls on June 1. 

Saint Justin Martyr, pray that in our search for the Truth, God will open the gates of light for us the way God did for you and give us the wisdom no human being can give. Amen.
