Head on plate hurts...
The story of the beheading of John the Baptist is one of those classic sad stories from the New Testament. All of us church folks love JB, and when Herod beheads him and puts his head on a platter it is always sad. But there is hope in the Resurrection for this faithful beliver, and for countless martyrs for Christ. Christ can, and will, restore their bodies and believers will be glorified in the new heavens and new earth in which righteousness dwells.
